Marine Park, Red Bank, NJ
Red Bank RiverCenter is proud to present Sunday in the Park…with the Symphony on Sunday, July 2, 2017. The New Jersey Symphony Orchestra comes to Red Bank for a free, open-air concert in the picturesque setting of Marine Park. A slice of Americana returns to Red Bank for the day, as attendees are encouraged to grab take-out from one of Red Bank’s fabulous eateries and enjoy a picnic in the park with the spectacular river views of the Navesink, topped off by a rousing performance by the NJSO. It will be a “Sunday in the Park” from yesteryear.
The concert is part of the symphony’s “Road Trip Across the USA” series. Travel from Red Bank through the heartland with John William’s moving score to Lincoln, to the Wild West with Copeland’s iconic Rodeo, and all the way to the Magic Kingdom with your favorite music from Beauty and the Beast. It’s fun for the whole family on the memorable musical trip!
The symphony truck will roll into Marine Park, where the sides will open up as the entire truck converts into a mobile stage…complete with sound, lighting and all the trimmings. Listeners can lay back on the grass or sit in lawn chairs and take in this marvelous concert.
The concert is free, presented as a “thank you” to the community of Red Bank and the surrounding area.
